It is not for you if…
- An existing plugin already does the job perfectly (I'll tell you if so)

When custom code makes sense
Plugins cover a lot of needs, but not all of them. When you need a specific feature, an integration with your tools or an editor shaped around your content, custom development saves you from stacking shaky workarounds.
Code that follows WordPress standards
I build to WordPress coding standards: secure code that survives updates and comes with documentation. You’re never locked into code nobody else can take over.
- Modern PHP and the WordPress APIs (REST, hooks, blocks)
- ACF and custom Gutenberg blocks for a clear admin
- Version-controlled, documented code
Headless WordPress and a modern stack
For agencies and technical teams, I also work on more advanced architectures: headless WordPress with WPGraphQL or the REST API, and a React, Next.js or Angular front end. For tooling, I use Bedrock and Composer for a clean project structure, and Lando or Docker environments that match between local and production.

Frequently asked questions
When do you need a custom WordPress plugin?
When no plugin does exactly what you need, when you'd have to stack several plugins for a single feature, or when WordPress has to talk to your own tools.
How much does a custom WordPress plugin cost?
The price depends on the features and integrations. It's set in a quote once we've scoped what you need.
What's the difference between a custom theme and a premium theme?
A premium theme is generic and ships with lots of features you won't use. A custom theme is designed for your content, so it's lighter, faster and easier to maintain.
Can you integrate a third-party API?
Yes: CRM, payments, logistics, internal tools or external services, through the WordPress REST API and the API of the service in question.
Do I own the code you deliver?
Yes. Once the project is paid for, the code written for you is yours. It's under version control and documented so someone else can pick it up.
Do you build headless WordPress sites?
Yes. WordPress then acts as the back office and serves content through WPGraphQL or the REST API, while the public site is built in React, Next.js or Angular. I'll also tell you when it isn't worth it: for a business website, a well-optimised classic theme is usually simpler and cheaper.
